DOES THE AG EXEMPTION TRANSFER WHEN YOU BUY LAND IN TEXAS? HB 1244 CHANGED THE ANSWER
A Texas ag valuation can now follow the land to a new owner without a new application, if the use and the people running it stay the same. The county documents have not caught up. One was updated the month the law took effect and still publishes the blanket rule the statute now carves into.
